Undead Series (MaryJanice Davidson)

Romance novels. I love them. I admit, I have an addiction. But you know, sometimes, you just have to go with that kind of obsession. I mean, if it makes you happy.

And boy do romance novels make me happy.

I started reading them when I was in high school. Being a sci-fi/fantasy fiend since i was in elementary school, I never thought to read those other books. But I'm so glad I did.

Especially when I read fun stories like those by MaryJanice Davidson.

Let me tell you about a blonde vampiress named Betsy who's shoe obsession would do Manolo of Manolo's Shoe Blog proud.

Betsy Taylor is not your everyday vampire. Sure, on the surface, she's vain (and beautiful), selfish, and impulsive. But she's sooooo much more. She's funny, sweet, caring, and that part deep down inside of you that just wants things to go your way, but if it doesn't needs that big shopping fix to... fix it.

Anyway, if you have not gotten a chance to reat Undead and Unwed and Undead and Unemployed, stop right now, turn off your computer (WAIT, finish reading this first), and then run (carefully) to your bookstore to pick them up. Now.

You will laugh outloud as Betsy (Elizabeth) Taylor tries to navigate the world of vampires (as their foretold Queen) in designer shoes with a jerk of a vampire (albeit oh so hot) trying to teach her the ropes.

With quick wit, excellent pacing, and a fun fun fun storyline, it's just so fun to read. Betsy is the such the best vampire ever. (Okay, Jean-Claude aside). Along with her cast of friends (human and vampire), you can't get enough of her world.
