The new series of Doctor Who starts in April. Matt Smith takes the reins from David Tennant as the new Doctor. Joining him in the new, swanky, steampunkish TARDIS is a new redhead, Amy Pond (played by Karen Gillan).
If she's as fun as the last ginger, it's going to be a great season! I'm looking forward to a nice romp through time and space.
The 10th Doctor's story is coming to an end. David Tennent and Russle T. Davies sit down and talk about it.
Honestly, I'm more than a little sad that David Tennent is leaving. I was in the huge crowed at Comic-Con during the Doctor Who panel and seriously everyone was crazy-excited to see him.
Of course, Nadine & I were there early (since I insisted) so we could make it in the room. After all the huge lines at SDCC, I didn't want to chance missing it.
So the interview (which runs like 20 min) has a bit of a spoiler ahead, so if you don't want to know about the upcoming specials, turn your eyes away now.

BBC announced the 11th Doctor this week. I have seen Matt Smith in action when I watched The Ruby In Smoke featuring Billie Piper, so he isn't totally unfamiliar, but I think my voice is just one of thousands who that are whispering, "He's so young!"
At 26, Mr. Smith is the youngest Doctor ever.
Of course we have to wait until 2010 (or as I like to think of it, THE FUTURE!!), till we see him pilot the TARDIS.
His name was not amongst any of the actors the British betting books were touting. We just have to wait and see what he's going to do with the role.
As to my Doctor Who fanfiction featuring 10, I'm afraid I've been at time sick and busy. It's all in waves, really. Two more chapters are written, but must be polished. I apologize for those who are waiting. I suck. Oh! But I got Series 4 on DVD for Christmas. Am happily rewatching it. Hm, I guess I could use the time to actually write. Hm, I really do suck. Sowwry.
Oh my.
I'm not sure how I feel. David Tennant is full of awesome with a cherry on top. I wonder who'll be there to try to fill his shoes.

I didn't realize that this was coming out already.
Featuring Catherine Tate as Companion Donna Noble and David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor, Doctor Who Series 4 was one of the best and I'm definately putting this on my preorder list.
A lot of Doctor Who fans who watched Catherine Tate's debut turn in the Christmas Special, the Runaway Bride, were not very happy that she was returning. Donna Noble was shrill, selfish, and shallow. But this series, Donna's character grew so much and was so amazing that by the end, the doubters had to say they were wrong. Well, at lest most did.
The emotional depth and character growth during this series was just so satisfying.
It's a little over a year since I started watching Doctor Who. I'm really glad that I flipped to BBC America that day and watched it during that marathon. I'm a better geek for it. ^_^
All the DVD released for Doctor Who have a lot of extras and info that are a lot of fun. I really enjoy the Doctor Who Confidentials, even though they are cut down to shorter segments for US DVD release.
In my downtime, when I'm not working, watching Doctor Who, reading books, or playing video games, I sometimes have the urge to write. If characters intrigue me or I get a bit obsessed about a show or story, then I whip out my laptop and start to type away. Most of these stories were written while I was in college, but the Doctor Who ones are a new obsession. David Tennant, you know.... You can read my stories in the following fanfiction repositoires:
I will also post any stories here (and update my archive) as soon as I have a chance.
Oh Comic-Con. The mad-crowds. The lack of personal space. The magical amounts of stuff to buy.
I had a lot of fun seeing my friends, but my wee brain just couldn't handle all of that stimulation.
Anyway, the above helmet was just one of the fan-toys available. I have several things captured in my flickr.
Now, I need some coffee.
Update:
Oh yeah! I forgot, this is one of my favorite pictures (of myself) from the con. *laugh* Picture with Chris, taken by Erika. She was on the same train to SD as the cast of Heroes and brushed up against Masi Oka. And she copped a feel. I kid!! She didn't. Or at least she wouldn't confess.
We're too cool for school, no?
No. *sigh*
The next time I'll be in LA is for the John Williams Concert. Or maybe Dennis' bday. According to Shiz, there will be other girls at the party so the boys can expand their horizons. Cuz Shizuki, Erika, Satsuki, Stephanie, Hangyee, Sofie and I aren't cutting it. We don't introduce them to new girls. Sad, no?
Oh. Just had a thought about what people would do with the Dalek helmet. Dalek cosplay in bed. Ew. Ew! Exterminate!
I attended the 2 hour Doctor Who & Torchwood panel at San Diego Comic-Con. It was a lot of fun, especially since a Jetlagged Steven Moffatt offered dating advice which included not dropping a toothbrush in front of your date on the first date as it seems a bit too hopeful.
I took some (bad) pictures and added them to my flickr.
Some small items from the panels from my twitter.
Okay, it's late. I'm off to bed.

Forgot to add:
Julie Gardner showed the extended Christmas 2008 trailer that featured:
Sorry I don't remember all of it. I should have tried to use my camera to record it. Maybe one of the other attendees did....
Doctor Who series 4 is drawing to a close soon. My reactions to this series? Donna Noble is one of my favorite companions. I still love Rose. And how hot is David Tennant? Freaking. Hot.
I enjoyed all of the stories this year so far. I cannot wait until Rose comes back because it seems like it's going to be uber exciting. Everyone is coming back for the last few episodes.
But back to Donna.... Catherine Tate has a great range and her Donna is a great foil to the Doctor. They are really having fun AND she also is able to reach the Doctor on levels that even Rose and Martha weren't able to. Probably cuz she's older and isn't out to found out how many other body parts the Doctor has more than one of. (ew!)
